Owners of Commercial Buildings, over 40 years old, must submit an inspection certification form within 90 days after receiving notification from your city or county building department in compliance with the Building Safety Inspection Program of Broward County. The mandatory Building Safety Inspection Program is in effect once you receive notification from a city or the county's building department. Each building must have a documented report, bearing the seal and signature of a Certified Engineer or Architect, registered in the State of Florida. This report must certifv that each building is structurallv and electrically safe.
